Service and Maintenance for Canine Performance

Welcome!

I’m Bradley Winkler, Houston’s Dog Mechanic. From relief of chronic pain to stress management, I have the head and hands to keep your four-legged friend running at peak efficiency. With advanced training in massage therapy for humans, I bring the same bodywork principles to my canine clients, restoring balance and equilibrium to your dog’s body and allowing smooth operation at full speed.

“Wait, canine massage therapy? Is that really a thing?”

Yes. All the benefits of massage for you also apply to your dog: pain relief, stress reduction, increased muscle tone and range of motion. It’s a thing! What I do isn’t about simply pampering your pooch. It’s about helping his or her body to function at its best.

About the Mechanic

I am a Nationally-Certified Canine Massage Therapist with training from Chicago’s Canis Bodyworks, and a member of the International Association for Animal Massage and Bodywork, as well as the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

I am also a Texas Licensed Massage Therapist with training in Swedish and Thai massage (Avalon School of Massage, Houston, TX), NeuroMuscular Therapy (Center for NeuroSomatic Studies, Clearwater, FL), and corrective movement techniques (NeuroKinetic Therapy Seminars, San Rafael, CA).

I am a proud resident of Houston’s vibrant East End, married to Lynn, and Dog Dad to Arabella, a panda German Shepherd. In addition to bodywork, I’m passionate about travel and the arts.

Rates and Service Area

Full Session: $60

I offer all services at the same rate for an in-home visit within my general service area. A full session includes both assessment and bodywork, and typically lasts 45-60 minutes depending on the size of your dog and the complexity of the issues to be addressed.

Follow-up Sessions: $50

After an initial session that includes assessment, sessions with bodywork only typically last 30-45 minutes, again depending on your dog.

Six Session Packages: $250

Your dog’s body didn’t get the way it is overnight, and sometimes it takes multiple sessions to correct an ongoing issue. I offer a package deal of the assessment and initial session plus five follow-up sessions for $250, a 20% savings.

Consultations: Free!

Initial phone consultations to discuss your dog’s issues and my services are always free.

Multi-Dog Discount

I offer discounted rates to work on more than one dog at your house (second session 50% discount).

Area Of Service

I offer in-home appointments at my standard rate in the following areas: Inner Loop, Bellaire, Meyerland, the Galleria, Uptown/Tanglewood, Memorial Villages, Spring Branch, Oak Forest, and Garden Oaks. For other areas, I may charge an additional travel fee, depending on your location. Please contact me for more information. If your dog is territorial and in-home sessions are not the best choice, I am able to meet you and your dog in a local park, or I offer incall appointments at my studio in the East End near UH.
